Birth & Breastfeeding Resources

As one whom his mother comforts so shall I (God) comfort you in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:11

Along the bank of the of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither nor will their fruit fail. They will bear fruit every month, because water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food and their leaves for medicine. Ezekiel 47:12

POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES

Post partum doulas assist moms shortly after childbirth to help them settle in and get used to parenthood. The Doula is not a medical provider and does not make medical decisions for the family. However M. Turner is an IBCLC, lactation consultant, and certified herbalist and can assist in those areas.

Services Provided for the families may include some teaching about basic childcare and norms for infancy. Services also include light housekeeping, light meal preparation and care of the mother and infant.  Basic care or the mom and baby postpartum and early breastfeeding assistance are also included. However since I am not an Registered Nurse, private nursing care must be sought out by an RN.

Services are set for a minimum of four (4) hours daily due to travel- time schedules. Daily and weekly rates are available.
